Steven B. Sanders, M.D.
Dr. Sanders is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon in joint preservation and replacement. Since 1995, Dr. Sanders has performed over 5,000 knee, shoulder, and hip surgeries in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and is now seeing patients in northeast Tarrant County. He continues to advance his expertise in the latest arthroscopic techniques to repair joints and limbs by participating and presenting at training sessions for surgeons.
Dr. Sanders' specialty is in providing patients with non-surgical and surgical options on relieving joint pain and regaining mobility from injuries and arthritis. He often repairs joint injuries with arthroscopic techniques, but sometimes may require minimally invasive open repairs to ensure minimal disruption of tissue and muscles.
As a partner and surgeon at Irving Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, he has provided care to many patients throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex over the years. Dr. Sanders now has an office in the Southlake area, serving North Tarrant and Denton counties.
Dr. Sanders' Fellowship training was at the Texas Center for Joint Replacement. Fellowship training is advanced training select surgeons receive in specific procedures to advance knowledge and skills. Surgeons receiving Fellowship training are recognized as leaders in their respective areas. Dr. Sanders' passion to stay at the forefront of joint replacement for knees, hips, and shoulders resulted in being recognized by his peers in D Magazine as one of the Dallas areas' top orthopaedic surgeons.
